By the way.. what's Eleanor's official spelling? Because I keep seeing others like Elenore and Elinor.
In Madlax's official dvds, it is spelled Elenore (a much more common spelling than Elinor). But then again, I would have doubt too as Margaret is spelled Margalet.
I suppose "Elinor" would be the japanese attempt to spell "Eleanor" (this being a much more used variation of the name aswell). The sound is basically the same for those two versions, but in japanese the only way to spell the "ea" sound is by using the "i" equivalent character. Though if the official ADV version spells it "Elenore" we should probably go with that one... ^^;
And Ombrenuit, I was pretty sure the only way to spell "Margaret" has always been "Margaret", regardless of what fansub version you might have watched before the american release. Spelling it "Margalet" would be an obvious mistake! :? I'm positively sure the ADV version spells it "Margaret" aswell! Maybe you should check the dvd subs again. ^^;
